DescriptionSpringr is an accommodation platform designed specifically for crypto nomads. It allows users to book their stays and make payments using crypto, and find the perfect accommodation based on comprehensive on-chain data, such as NFTs, tokens, or POAPs.
My Role in the Project
When Kelly and Swapneel approached me to be a part of their team, they already had the foundation of Springr built with an MVP and the foundational user flow. As digital crypto nomads themselves, their firsthand experiences influenced their vision for the platform. They saw a gap in the market for a service tailored to the nuanced needs of the crypto-native nomads. I was thrilled to hop on board as the product designer to to refine and elevate their vision into a tangible, user-friendly experience.
App Design
The design goal of the app is to create a warm feel to reflect the app's foundational values of hospitality and community. Additionally, the app aims to establish trust among its users by providing clear insight into the booking process.
Visual Design
One of our earliest design decisions was to adopt orange as the primary color accent, both for the brand and within the app. To us, orange is reminiscent of the vibrant tropical fruit, papaya. Its tropical association naturally evokes thoughts of serene vacations, which perfectly encapsulates the essence of our travel-centric app. The color orange also evoke a sense of cheerfulness and optimism, similar to the feelings one experiences when planning and embarking on a vacation.As we progressed, this vibrant shade began to infuse a sense of warmth and wanderlust throughout the app, aligning perfectly with the ethos of our brand.

Since Springr is a stay booking platform, there is a tangible real-world responsibility towards the users. Trust is a really important factor in our design considerations. To foster this trust:
Integrating On-chain Information
Springr uses on-chain data like NFTs, tokens, and POAPs to match users with accommodations or hosts that share similar digital interests. Springr is about aligning the physical experience of a stay with user’s digital identity and values. Through this feature, Springr aims to do more than just facilitate bookings; it aims to foster a community.
This feature is called 🔥Vibe Check in the app.
Since Springr is a stay booking platform, there is a tangible real-world responsibility towards the users. Trust is a really important factor in our design considerations. To foster this trust:
- We prioritize clear communication. Each booking card offers comprehensive information ensuring customers are well-informed.
- At the same time, we've taken care to present this information without overwhelming the user, ensuring the design remains uncluttered and neat.
- Our ultimate aim is transparency. We want users to have a clear view of what they're considering for booking. Complete and clear insights translate to trustworthiness.
